I'm sitting in the Radisson hotel at the Zurich airport ready to catch a flight home tomorrow. It’s been an amazing adventure! I have no regrets and I’d do it again with some tweaks in my expectations. I was unrealistic with my expectations of the weather and I think I assumed all would be sunny skies. Therefore I was unnecessarily disappointed in how much fog and rain I encountered but I had the gear! I was unrealistic about the pace I could keep hiking on the really long days with thousands of feet of ups and downs. I had the strength, stamina, and balance to do the miles which pleased me because I worked really hard on that but I couldn’t get it done in the daylight hours so adjustments were made. And yet, the weather issues and my pace led to some of my favorite and unexpected adventures. But I’m ready to be home and see Bill and Felix and Slinky as well as see what progress has been made on the updates to our new house.
My morning in St Moritz and my train trip to Zurich were filled with so much beauty. My feet were itching to get back in my hiking boots!

St Moritz is a beautiful town. Apparently during ski season it is totally different with wall to wall people spending lots and lots of money.

The next two pictures could be bookends

Did a little retail therapy before I caught the train and used up the last of my francs.

I was completely unprepared for the beauty of my train ride to Zurich. I saw some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve seen since I’ve been here. I’m sure the sun shining helped.

Thanks for traveling with me!

What an inspirational trip! Thanks for sharing and blogging. I'm proud of you for all of this! I can hear your humor in all your posts. I can picture how you interacted with everyone/animals who crossed your path. Your boots sounded like an excellent purchase. They should go into Lucy's museum! Ashlyn
