This is what I did today.

Glacier Express to St Moritz

I began the day with my typical breakfast

Took the little hotel taxi to the train station because of course it was raining

And boarded the Glacier Express. It was so fun! My seat mates were an absolutely delightful couple from Colorado. They had a great backstory and we became fast friends. He was a hygrographer (a scientist who measures, maps, and analyzes the physical characteristics of water bodies like oceans, seas, and rivers, focusing on depth, shape, currents, tides, and seafloor topography) and has worked all over the world. She is from Australia They met many years ago at a Club Med in Bali. Our day was filled with laughter and stories while we enjoyed the scenery. You will be able to tell that the weather steadily improved as the day went on. All of the pictures were taken from the train window so there is some glare

And we’re off!

We passed through a huge grape growing area. The blue netting is to keep away the birds.
